Edward look down towards the intimidating cliff. With arms outstretched and his chest open, he visualized himself falling towards the end of his life. There was no need for this existence. There was no need for any of the pain he enjoyed throughout his life. No one cared or would have known. Edward was alone and afraid each and every day. The fear of living even one more day in his miserable ghetto town and working his mundane, low wage job was numbing his soul.
Edward then took a breath and said to himself as he put one foot out, “There’s no turning back.”
